HELPFUL tips & Information
All dogs are different and they come in many shapes and sizes, most can be classed in groups, such as:-
Toy Breeds:
Their weight can be up to 9 kg. Loyal and intelligent, they are great at learning tricks, and many excel in obedience competitions. These
little dogs are loving companions and their stature makes them excellent pets for people without a lot of extra space in their homes. Despite their tendency toward yappiness, they are considered the best dogs for novice owners. This breed loves attention, which is great for when you take them out, away from their loving homes.
Medium Breeds:
Their weight ranges from 10-23 kg. Not too big, not too small, medium dogs are just right for an owner who wants a dog they can ‘rumble’ with without being too over-powering. Many of the medium sized breeds are appealing to families who have smaller children, but don’t have the space for a larger dog.
Large Breeds:
Their weight ranges 23-45 kg These breeds require a bit more space to stretch their legs or even just to turn around. Typically requiring outdoor space or regular walks, this sized dog requires an owner who is willing to handle big energy and bigger poop.
Extra Large Breeds:
Their weight ranges from 45kg +. These breeds grow rapidly, but take longer to mature into their full adult sizes than smaller dogs. Many giant breeds are mature and relaxed dogs as adults and require less exercise than most smaller dogs. Because they are larger animals, they are less intimidated by people and are much more adaptable to meeting friends, family members and children. They are normally
very calm and are great family dogs.
